Wouldn’t life be so much easier if we were born with a personalized manual to demystify the existential and de-baffle the unexplained?
As a child I had questions. But whenever I asked my mathematician-engineer dad “Why do the stars sparkle?” or “Why do rainbows fade in the sky?” His answer was always the same,  “Because of the atmosphere”.   For dad, this was decidedly a sufficient response.
